Mission

“And how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”(2 Timothy 3:15); “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

According to the teachings of the Bible, church is the place where faith is passed on to the next generation. Moreover, a person in his/her youth is capable of understanding the Bible. Thus, teaching the young about the Bible to lead them to know God is a key church function. Our youth can become children of God through their faith and can enjoy God’s love when they abide the teachings of the Bible. To this end, the Children’s Ministry of our church offers various Sunday School classes to children of varying ages. We provide the environment to pray for them and to lead them to worship and to praise the Lord. In working with the children, our Sunday School teachers are dedicated not only to teaching them the truths found in the Bible, but also to showing and passing on to them the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. We also do our best to communicate and engage the families of the children to guide the children to good habits, to fill their hearts with God’s love, and to lead them to walk the right path.

Major Areas of Children’s Ministry

In supporting the mission of the Children’s Ministry, our Sunday School offers six (6) classes for different age groups:
1 – 2 years; 3 – 4 years; Kindergarten;
1st – 2nd grades; 3rd – 4th grades; 5th – 6th grades.

Every Sunday morning, our service to the children includes the following activities:

9:30 – 9:55 Children’s Worship
Children’s worship includes all children from kindergarten and above. The children sing praises to God, enjoy God’s love, and prepare their hearts to receive the teachings of the Bible in Sunday School class.

10:00 – 11:00 Children’s Sunday School Class
Sunday School teachers will have their individual instructional syllabus and focuses, but do use the same teaching material and follow the same schedule. A typical Sunday School class includes an opening prayer, a Bible story, Bible truth and applications, and a closing prayer.

11:30 – 12:30 Children’s Church
Our church offers three semesters of adult Sunday School. To enable families with children to attend adult Sunday School classes, we plan to offer simultaneous activities for the children such as Bible seminars, children’s evangelical classes, crafts making, and outdoor activities. Currently, we have a children’s choir practice during this time.

Other Special Activities

To encourage the good habit of reading the Bible and devotional books, we have set up some special reward systems for the children, such as the store system from which children can redeem their tokens for prizes.

To enrich the lives of the children attending church and to spread the love of God to the children in our community by inviting them to church, we also hold special events periodically such as an Easter egg hunt and summer Vacation Bible School.
Our children also join in the church’s Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations by singing in the choir and distributing flowers.

Our children also participate in the general church worship by singing songs from time to time.
